Officers & Student Leaders
Student Officers for Tri-M are High School leaders in the music department. Officers assist Ms. Little and Ms. White with daily tasks and concert logistics, volunteer at events, and act as role models for all music students. These are elected positions. See below for specific position descriptions.
Student leaders are Middle School students on track to join Tri-M in High School. Student leaders assist Ms. Little and Ms. White in daily tasks including taking attendance, numbering music, handing out worksheets, etc. They positively impact their peers, acting as role models that encourage others to be on task and respectful. An 8th grader will be President of MS Band/Chorus by election.

Runs Tri-M meetings once every other week
Creates and adjusts agenda for meetings
Contacts Tri-M members through Remind
Delegates tasks to Tri-M members
Reminds Tri-M members of upcoming events and responsibilities
Presents fundraising proposals to Student Council
Vice President of Tri-M:
Performs President's duties in their absence
Organizes Tri-M outreach and recruitment
Volunteers at all MS events
Designs & prints posters for Tri-M fundraisers and events
Secretary of Tri-M:
Writes minutes of Tri-M meetings and emails them to teachers & members
Organizes online and physical Tri-M materials
Creates facebook events, etc. for Tri-M events
Presents fundraising proposals to Student Council
Treasurer of Tri-M:
Maintains the Tri-M accounts & ledger
Requests checks, donations, etc. from the district office
Develops Tri-M budget and shares it with Tri-M officers
Deposits fundraising/event income in Tri-M account
In charge of cash box
Historian of Tri-M:
Takes pictures at all music department events (or finds a replacement photographer in advance)
Uploads pictures to the Music website
Maintains the Music website with shout outs, events, news, photos, etc.
Maintains a positive presence on Music social media (facebook, snapchat, etc.)
